Cool

Do you plan to make a new years resolution? If so, do you actually plan to keep it? Did you keep the one you made last year or the year before? Have you ever kept on at all? LOL!
Well, it's time once again to think of one to make. As we venture forth into 2008 next week, we need to think about we we did or didnt do in 07. Did you quit a bad habit or did you start a good one? Did you save more, earn more or move forward in some way? What is it that you didnt do that you really wish you did? Well, nows the time to reflect on the past and look tword the future at the same time. You see, New Years is like a birthday for everyone. A day of renewel and a time of hope for the future. A moment of good luck wishes to all (well almost all) for the year to come. We wish people a happy new year and as we do we are kind of covering ourselves for the entire year. Even to complete strangers, we feel the need to make sure we wish them a happy new year whether we know what kind of year they just had or not. Kind of announcing that we want happiness, not just for ourselves but for others as well. We all look to each other to ring in the new year with more hope than the year before. With the right attitude tword things. With an outlook that says "yes I can" no matter if it's doing more of something or less of something else. We all take this time to wish people happiness, which is something we really only usually wish people on major holidays and birthdays ( unless you like to celebrate all the holidays of the year, and there are a ton of them) Yes, we pledge to do our best, to try harder, to work harder, to be better and of course, to keep the promises we make. Often times these promises are linked to the amount of empty glasses or bottles in front of us. It's a time to steal a kiss at midnight as if it's the most important moment of the entire year. Like that one kiss starts the year on the best foot possible (although you may wanna kiss on the lips and not the foot, but whatever floats your boat).
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..
How shall you ring in 2008? What will you promise to do or not do in the next year? What would they call flies if they didnt fly? (wait, how'd that get in here)
I give you this post early so as you may have time to think about what it is that you want to change? About you, about your situation, about that odor coming from beneath your bed? Yes, it is time.
As we change the calender we look to change ourselves. To change for the better. To make a difference in our own lives and perhaps the lives of others.
So as we go through these last few days of 2007, take a look back at what worked and what didnt. What you thought was good and what was, not so much. Take some time to relflect on what you did this year or didnt do and decide your course for the year to come.
Or, just party on and wing it like you did last year (seemed to work ok, didnt it!??!?!?! )
Bring on 2008!
Goodbye to 2007!
And hopefully, we'll all remember to write 2008 on everything by the middle on march.
Break out the party hats and horns. Chill the bubbly! Bring on the dancing girls!
IT'S TIME TO PARTY !!!!!!!!!!!!

And to resolve to do less or more of whatever it is that you dont do enough of or do too little of right now.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Just in case...

Free cab rides will be available to impaired party-goers on New Year?s Eve to prevent drunk driving and help people get home safely. MADD estimates that three out of 10 people will be involved in an alcohol-related crash in their lifetime. The majority of offenders involved in fatal drunk driving crashes are men between the ages of 21 and 34.

Care Cab, a joint effort between MADD and AAA, will be available beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 31 until midnight on Tuesday, Jan. 1, providing 30 hours of free service. The cab ride by Towne Taxi or Community Yellow Cab is free to the caller as long as they are calling from a public establishment and transported to a private residence within the I-275 loop. Call 513-768-FREE (513-768-3733) to request service.

For the past 11 years, Care Cab, MADD and AAA have provided 1,500 safe rides home to over 3,600 passengers.

Even though it's a free ride, you should probably still tip the driver.
